Our Business Studies courses at Clifton are exciting, relevant and practical.

We prepare our pupils for further study and the modern business world, giving them skills and knowledge that will be useful throughout their lives. We study all sizes of businesses from sole traders to PLCs whilst encouraging creative thinking about real-life business scenarios. Many Clifton leavers go on to study business-courses at the best universities in the UK and abroad.

Teaching

We have a team of highly-experienced and inspirational teachers from a range of backgrounds.

At A Level, Clifton follows the Pearson Edexcel Business syllabus. The pupils learn a range of business skills from financial analysis, to human resources and operations management. Pupils will be able to link ideas and relate them to current businesses. Some of our sixth formers opt for the Pearson Edexcel BTEC Extended Certificate in Business. This is a more vocational programme which is assessed largely through coursework.

At GCSE, we follow the Cambridge International Exams (CIE) IGCSE syllabus. This is a two year course that provides an introduction to business. We aim to inspire our pupils to continue to study the subject at A level and beyond.
