We have been making huge strides in academic performance. In 2017-18, for example, 75% of A Level grades were A*-B, while a quarter of all GCSE grades were a 9 or an A*.
Sixth Formers receive tailored careers advice and staff work in close contact with parents and pupils to ensure they receive the best support and encouragement.
However, excellent results by themselves are not the only signifier of a well-rounded education. We place equal importance on personal growth and independence. At every step of their education, pupils are encouraged to question theories and conventional approaches, and to learn to think critically and independently. We want all pupils to become the best version of themselves that they can be.
At Clifton College, we do everything we can to help your son or daughter achieve their potential and prepare them for life after Clifton.
We offer specialist careers advice, with pupils receiving guidance from parents, teachers, tutors, House Masters, the Head of Sixth Form and outside experts.
Most Clifton College pupils go on to attend the university of their choice, but advice is also available for those pupils who want to go directly into work or take a Gap Year.
Many former pupils are highly successful entrepreneurs in business and finance, and we are also very well represented in the professions, Academia and the Arts. The Old Cliftonian Society is developing a database of past pupils who are willing to offer work experience and careers advice to current pupils and recent leavers. It is hoped this will play a key role in our future provision of careers guidance.
