Crusaders and Scarlets train at Clifton College

We were pleased to welcome New Zealand’s Crusaders and Wales’ Scarlets to the College this week to train on the Close.

Ahead of the Crusaders’ friendly with Bristol Bears and the Scarlets’ friendly with Exeter Chiefs, this marked another visit to Clifton from notable rugby teams, after the England national team trained here in 2022 and Japan in 2015.

It was wonderful to have pupils from The Downs Preparatory School, Tockington Manor School and Four Acres Academy also visit the College to take in the training session.

After the recent success of OCs Immanuel Feyi-Waboso and Ioan Lloyd playing for England and Wales in the Six Nations, it has been an inspirational time for young athletes in Clifton that playing at the highest level of sport is within their reach.

We wish the Crusaders the very best for their upcoming Super Rugby season, and to the Scarlets for the remainder of the United Rugby Championship season.
