Congratulations to all pupils on their GCSE results!

There was plenty to celebrate at Clifton College today when the pupils received their GCSE results. We were delighted to see so many happy smiling faces and it was a joy to celebrate their successes with them.

Our pupils have achieved a wide range of exceptional grades, including;

Jude (left), has been with Clifton College since Pre Prep and is excited to go on to study Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Ancient Greek, and Jack (right), who is going on to study Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry.

Isabel (left), who is going on to study RS, Biology, English Language and Psychology, and Fleur (right), who is going on to study PE, Biology, Psychology and Business.

Clemmie who was selected for the England U18 hockey team, will be continuing her education at Clifton College studying Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Latin.

Head of College Dr Tim Greene said: “I could not be more impressed with how the students have risen to the challenge of their GCSEs.  The overall results are excellent but it is the individual stories of success that are really impressive.  I know just how hard the students involved have worked and the amazing support that they have had from their teachers.  I very much look forward to welcoming all the students back in a few weeks as they start their post-16 studies and take the next step on their individual academic journey.

Deputy Head Academic Dr Gavin Turner said: “We would like to congratulate all Year 11 pupils on their GCSE results. The overall picture is extremely positive, with the cohort posting a pleasing set of results. This is within the context of two years of learning that have been disrupted by Covid, and I would like to pay tribute to the pupils, their approach and the resilience they have shown throughout their GCSE journeys. There are a number of pupils that have posted stellar results achieving at the very highest level, however all our pupils should be commended for achieving their personal best; something that they should be very proud of. I congratulate all our pupils and wish them the very best as they embark on their Sixth Form studies.”

A big well done from everyone at Clifton College, we hope you enjoy the rest of your summer and look forward to welcoming you back to the Sixth Form in September.
