Clifton College students take part in world’s largest youth Drama festival

Recently, Clifton College students took part in the world’s largest youth Drama festival. The Shakespeare School’s Festival is an annual event where schools and drama groups from across the country take part and perform 30-minute edited versions of Shakespeare plays.

For this year’s festival students from across Years 9 to 13 were involved in our production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream at the Tobacco Factory Theatre. The students jumped at the opportunity to perform in a professional theatre bringing this raucous production to life with all of the energy, dynamism and broad comedic touches of one of Shakespeare’s best known plays.
