An important feature of Sixth Form life is the Junior Common Room (JCR) which provides the older pupils with the opportunity to meet, talk and relax on their own terms.
Based in the Crypt beneath the Chapel, it is open as a café and common room during the day and is a popular social centre.
Hot and cold food and drinks are available at lunchtimes, including soups, jacket potatoes, paninis, pizza, hot and cold sandwiches, freshly-prepared salads and homemade cakes.
Evening events at the JCR include summer barbeques, Clifton Unplugged, an acoustic music event, and themed nights, but the Common Room’s most important function is as a place for students to socialise and to relax.
The JCR is curated by the friendly and welcoming JCR Supervisor and comes equipped with a Freeview television, and arcade machine and a Wii, along with a variety of newspapers, magazines, Games and DVDs.
