Netball

Netball

Netball is played in the Lent Term (Winter) and the College runs five senior teams and eight junior sides. The girls practice and play matches in a purpose-built indoor centre, and enter national competitions in three age groups.

Netball history:

Netball has been played at Clifton College since 1987, when the School became co–educational. Since then, participation levels have increased as the number of girls in the College has risen, and our excellent coaches have included England captain, Pamela Cooky, and Team Bath head coach, Jess Garland.

Success and Coaching:

2006 saw the first netball teams win county championships and travel to regional finals in Bournemouth. Since that success, Clifton has reached regional and national finals every year, in a variety of age groups. The fixture list continues to grow and includes Bromsgrove, KES Bath, and Cheltenham College.
