Matthew was at Clifton between 1975 and 1983 in both the Preparatory School and the Upper School. He was Head of Polack's House in 1983. In 2011 he was appointed a Trustee of the Polacks House Educational Trust (PHET).
"My Clifton experience wasn’t just about academic learning, as the skills and values I learnt outside the classroom are the ones that have helped shape my life going forward. Over the last thirty five since years after leaving the College there has not been a celebration or family event where my core bunch of life long Clifton friends have not been present. My role as a Trustee of the CCDT and the PHET allows me to follow the School’s philosophy of giving something back to ensure others have the opportunity to share the same experiences as I did."
