1862 Club

1862 Club celebrates its fifth Annual Lunch

The fifth annual lunch was held on the 4th May 2018 in the Cricket Pavilion.

Attendees enjoyed an excellent meal prepared by the School catering department, before being welcomed by our Chair of Council, Alison Streatfeild-James.

This was followed by a cello recital from Hannah Wilkie (HH), comprising; Prelude from Cello suite No. 3 in C by J.S. Bach, Après un rêve by G. Fauré and L. Boccherini’s Rondo accompanied by James Drinkwater (Deputy Director of Music and the College Organist).  

Hannah is a music and academic scholar in the Lower sixth.  She plays cello and piano and is studying five A levels: Maths, Physics, German, Art and Music.

The 1862 Club was created to recognise and appreciate those who have included Clifton in their Will.  It gives the School the opportunity to thank members in their lifetime.  There are currently 112 members.
