Summer Language School 2017 Vacancies

We are looking for highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals, with a keen interest in sport/drama/arts & crafts/teambuilding activities, to assist us in delivering of this fantastic programme for 7 weeks over the summer period. We have established, over many years of operations, a fantastic reputation for high-quality staff members who develop great relationships with students and overseas Group Leaders alike, and help us deliver a fantastic programme.

Applicants would ideally have experience in running sport/drama/arts & crafts/teambuilding activities for children, but we are also looking for strong applicants who can show initiative under pressure, engage with our students, and can bring enthusiasm to our team and the programme.

Centre Manager & Assistant Centre Manager x 2 Responsibility for management of entire site, dealing with accommodation/catering/works/facilities departments in order to ensure the efficient running of the Language Schools.

Assistant Director of Hockey

We are seeking to appoint an inspiring and enthusiastic Assistant Director of Hockey to join our dynamic Sports Department. The successful candidate will be well-qualified and suitably experienced, and will assist in leading and developing boys’ and girls’ hockey at the College. They will also be able to teach a timetable of games lessons in the Pre-Preparatory School (Reception - Year 3) and willing to contribute to the wider life of a busy boarding and day school.

Lifeguard

£6.80 per hour (£10 per hour for School sessions)

Casual and flexible lifeguards needed for Clifton College Sports Centre. Applicants must currently hold level 2 UK QCF lifeguarding qualifications (such as those from the RLSS, STA, HABC, etc.).

Working amongst a young team of friendly and well-motivated staff we are looking for responsible, knowledgeable and customer-driven lifeguards who are available for a selection of evening, weekend and holiday shifts. Lifeguards should have a record of performing well in their previous training and be strong confident swimmers and communicators.

The post will mostly involve working as part of a small team to ensure the smooth and efficient running of swim sessions for our members and children from the school, holiday club and residential courses. Every shift normally also contains a sample of work away from the poolside as required to meet the operational needs of the business. This may include basic cleaning duties or covering the main reception desk.

This is an ideal post for students or others wanting flexible part-time work with longer hours available during the holidays. Applications from lifeguards who are qualified in the use of spine boards and automated external defibrillators are particularly welcome, although training will be provided for the right candidate(s).

Chef de Partie - £17,000-£18,000 per annum, depending on experience

Chef de partie with recent experience required, preferably with a hotel background, to work in a busy kitchen with a team of nine chefs. The College runs all year round catering, to over 1300 pupils – including boarders – in term-time and over 600 staff, along with a busy function business including weddings and corporate dinners outside of term-time.

Formal City and Guilds qualifications and Basic Food Hygiene certificate are essential, as is enthusiasm for the role.

This role is for 45 hours per week, worked in accordance with a shift pattern over 5 days out of 7 per week, including weekends on a rota basis.  Shifts are 6am-3.30pm and 10am-7.30pm.

Post Graduate Gap Year Tutor

£9024-9600 actual salary, depending on age.

Fixed term contract 1st September 2017 - 30th June 2018

This is a full time position which provides suitable applicants with the opportunity of benefiting from all aspects of working in a large, busy and thriving Boarding and Day Preparatory School.
