At Clifton College, we are committed to providing pupils with an outstanding environment within which to study and live. Clifton College successfully combines heritage with modernity, enjoying the best of both.
Pupils learn in subject-specific facilities, including engaging science labs, a design and technology workshop, and dedicated art and music studios.
The stunning Percival Library is staffed by three full-time professional librarians who support teaching and learning, encourage reading for enjoyment and provide a relaxed, creative and welcoming space.
Drama, music and dance play a big part of Clifton College life, our purpose-built Theatre, the Redgrave, offers pupils the chance to develop their skills, build confidence, and take part in performances that inspire and entertain.
Our superb on-site sporting facilities includes Clifton College Sports Centre with the latest range of gym equipment, a 25m indoor swimming pool, cricket nets, rackets court and six tennis courts, along with an on-campus golf simulator. We are lucky to be surrounded by 20 acres of local playing fields including The Close, nestled in the heart of the campus, where historic School buildings act as a stunning backdrop to matches.
The emotional and physical wellbeing of our pupils is our top priority, and we have designed spaces that support both academic success and personal growth. The dedicated Health Centre is a hub where students can go for medical assistance, emotional support, or to simply take a break. A favourite space among our pupils is the wellbeing room, 'The Wave'.
The distinctive, historic buildings at Clifton College provide an inspirational backdrop for learning, with a mix of modern facilities and traditional 19th century architecture.
Housed in a beautiful Grade II listed building that dates back to 1870 (and is often compared to Hogwarts), the Percival Library contains over 15,000 books, graphic novels and manga as well as access to audiobooks and online databases. The librarians run an inspiring and engaging programme of activities, competitions and author events throughout the year as well as many co-curricular clubs and societies. Creative Writing Group, Pride Society, Board Game Club, Film Society and the Clifton Herald student newspaper are facilitated by the librarians. A team of dedicated and enthusiastic student librarians help to make the library a fun, creative and vibrant space for all.
Our state-of-the-art Chellaram Sports Complex, housed among our 90-acre dedicated sports ground, just a short drive away, forms an integral part of the sport provision at Clifton College. Allowing all pupils access to outstanding facilities, to improve their physical coordination and skills, while also promoting teamwork and resilience.
