The importance that sport at Clifton College Preparatory School is reflected in the investment we have made in our excellent sports facilities.
Our superb sporting facilities include The Close, which has witnessed many magnificent sporting achievements, including the UK's highest-ever recorded score in cricket, when the 13-year-old schoolboy A.E.J. Collins scored 628 not out over four afternoons in June 1899.
The 90-acre site known as Beggar’s Bush (BB) is a more recent addition, and is Bristol’s biggest outdoor sports complex. BB provides the latest sporting facilities including a water-based Olympic standard hockey pitch.
We also have an indoor 25m swimming pool, which is maintained at a constant 29°C and has well-equipped changing rooms.
