Trips

At Clifton College Preparatory School, we regularly organise trips to help broaden children’s interests and enhance their educational experience. We undertake regular overseas trips, as well as visits to places closer to home, such as our frequent trips across the road to Bristol Zoo.

Highlights include:

  • Year 6 trip to the Lifeskills centre, where they get hands-on experience at learning life skills, such as: fire safety, water safety, railway track safety, basic first aid and calling 999.
  • History trips to the Roman baths at Bath; Glastonbury Abbey; and Chepstow Castle.
  • Geography trips on an open-top bus tour of Bristol; to Avonmouth Docks; Hinkley B nuclear power station; Ashford Water treatment centre; Dunster and Exmoor National Park
  • Trip to study the Egyptian exhibits at Bristol Museum.
  • Summer term trip to the Forest of Dean, sleeping overnight at Welsh Bicknor Youth Hostel.
