Saturday School

Saturday School

At Clifton College Preparatory School, we recognise that sport on Saturdays is crucial for every child and it is one of the strongest features of our provision. It remains our aim to achieve the right balance between the changing needs of other schools, the needs of the family and providing sport for all within our boarding school ethos.

Saturday sports coaching and fixtures take place in the morning for Years 4 to 8 from 10:00am to 12:30pm. There are no Saturday academic lessons for Years 4 to 6, but there are 2 regular lessons for Years 7 to 8 from 8:40am to 9:50am.

The main priority on a Saturday morning is sport and all pupils experience exactly the same type of provision. Saturday morning sports fixtures provide parents with an opportunity to come along and cheer on their children, as well as socialising with each other and getting a taste of the Clifton College Preparatory School community spirit. Saturday morning sport would normally be concluded by lunch time, depending on the fixture.
