Old Cliftonian Secures Place at Prestigious Guildford School of Acting

Everyone at Clifton College is delighted to celebrate the outstanding achievement of recent leaver Jemima Smith, who has accepted a place to study at the highly respected Guildford School of Acting (GSA).

Gaining admission to one of the UK's leading drama schools is an incredible accomplishment, and Jemima's success is made even more remarkable by the highly competitive nature of the selection process. More than 2,000 aspiring performers auditioned for a place, with only 200 progressing to the recall stage. From there, just 25 to 30 performers received final offers, making Jemima's achievement truly exceptional.

Jemima's success extends beyond GSA alone. She was offered places at three of the country's top drama schools and reached the final recall stages for several others. These impressive results are a testament to her talent, perseverance, commitment, and countless hours of hard work.

Throughout her time at Clifton College, Jemima demonstrated a passion for performance and a determination to pursue her ambitions at the highest level. Her achievements reflect not only her natural ability but also the dedication and resilience required to succeed in such a competitive field.
