Upper Commemoration Celebrations 2026

This year’s Upper Commemoration was a wonderful two‑day celebration filled with music, reflection and community spirit. Festivities began on Friday evening with the much‑anticipated Commem Concert and House Dance. Every house took part, and put in a fantastic effort, showcasing creativity and teamwork, with Hallwards ultimately taking the win.

Saturday continued in glorious sunshine as pupils, families and staff gathered in Chapel for a morning service. Everyone then moved to the marquee, where Dr Greene delivered a heartfelt speech reflecting on his many years at Clifton College, both as a teacher and as Head Master.

We also heard inspiring addresses from our Heads of School, who spoke about the lessons, friendships and experiences they will carry with them as they embark on the next stage of their journeys.

After lunch, families explored a vibrant programme of exhibitions and activities across the Upper School, celebrating the impressive work produced by pupils throughout the year.

The celebrations concluded in style on Saturday evening with the Commem Ball, held in a transformed casino‑themed marquee. A sit‑down meal, dancing and a spectacular firework display on the Close brought a fantastic year to a memorable close.
