Clifton College is celebrating an outstanding set of Cross Country achievements across both the Prep and Upper School, with several pupils competing in the prestigious South West Schools and English Schools Cross-Country Championships.
At the forefront of this success is Charlie B., whose performances continue to impress. Last year, as a Year 7 Minor Boy competitor, Charlie achieved a remarkable clean sweep - winning the Bristol Schools, Avon Schools, and South West Schools titles.
Now competing a year young in the Junior Boys category, Charlie has once again demonstrated exceptional talent and determination. He has successfully defended both his Bristol Schools and Avon Schools titles, an extraordinary accomplishment given the step-up in age group. Charlie represented the region at the recent South West Championships and has qualified for the English Schools Cross-Country Championships in March.
Success has also been strong in the Prep School, where Lottie F. secured her place at the South West event after finishing in the top 10 of the Minor Girls category. Her qualification was a testament to her hard work and competitive spirit.
In the Upper School, a number of pupils also earned their place at the South West Championships, and have qualified for the English Schools Cross-Country Championships, alongside Charlie:
Georgina R. - Junior Girls
Fletcher R., Rohan R. (reserve) - Inter Boys
Lola S., Darcy S., Jemima C. (reserve) - Inter Girls
Ellie W., Amalie W. (reserve), Scarlett M. (reserve) - Senior Girls
These achievements reflect the depth of talent and commitment within Clifton College’s running community. The College is immensely proud of all pupils who competed and wishes the qualifiers the very best as they prepare for the next stage of competition.
