Clifton College host VEX IQ Robotics Competition

Clifton College hosted one of the few VEX IQ Robotics competitions in the South West last week, welcoming teams from Kingswood Prep and Colyton Grammar for a full day of robotics excitement. We ran two events: the Skills Challenge followed by the Match Challenge. 

Two places to advance to Nationals were on offer - Clifton led for much of the day but narrowly missed out at the end. A huge well done to Rowan, Aboubakr, Seb, Fraser, Ishita, and Adwai for proudly representing Clifton!

The teamwork, problem solving, and collaboration on display were truly inspiring, and the pupils carried themselves with integrity and excellent manners throughout.

Thank you to Melissa Butterworth, our VEX Regional Manager, and Albin, an undergraduate from Bristol University, for giving up their time to help run the event, and to Peter and Julian in Year 8 and Mr Webb for their encouragement and support. 

Hopefully this is the first of many occasions when The Prep hosts this fantastic competition!
