Discover Little Explorers at Clifton College - A Fun and Engaging Early Years Experience

Clifton College’s Little Explorers is a vibrant weekly toddler group designed for young families seeking engaging early-years experiences in a warm and supportive setting. Hosted within the Clifton College Pre-Prep environment, Little Explorers invites children - and their parents or carers - to explore, play and connect with others while getting a feel for life in an Early Years setting.

Weekly Sessions Full of Play, Curiosity and Community

 Little Explorers runs twice each week during term time - every Monday (09:00-10:30) and Friday (09:30-11:00) - offering a regular opportunity for little ones to enjoy playful learning through:

●     Soft play and physical exploration

●     Music and creative movement

●     Forest School activities that encourage outdoor fun

●     Arts and crafts and themed creative play

Each session is kept intentionally small - typically 12-15 children - so that every child and family can participate actively and feel welcome. Parents also enjoy refreshments and the chance to chat with other families and staff, strengthening community connections.

Exciting Year-Round Events

Beyond the regular Monday and Friday meet-ups, Little Explorers features special events throughout the year that bring extra excitement and unique experiences for young children and families. Recent and upcoming activities include:

●     Storytime with Santa in the beautiful Percival Library

●     A Big Sing at the Redgrave Theatre

●     A Music Recital for a joyous concert in the College’s recital hall

●     A Teddy Bear’s Picnic at Forest School

A Stepping Stone into Clifton College Preschool

Little Explorers also offers families a gentle introduction to the Preschool provision at Clifton College, where children can begin their formal early education journey once they turn 3 years old. The Preschool is an inspiring and nurturing setting focused on the development of the whole child - combining play-based learning, structured activities, and exploration both indoors and outdoors.

The Preschool experience includes:
