The Lasting Benefits of a Strong Alumni Network

Monday 10 November 2025

A strong alumni network plays an important role in supporting pupils long after they leave Clifton College. Our Old Cliftonian (OC) community connects past and present pupils across generations, helping them stay part of the wider Clifton story wherever life takes them.

With more than 6,600 Old Cliftonians in 99 countries, the network offers a friendly, global community. Digital platforms, regional groups and regular updates help alumni stay connected, share experiences and remain involved with the College.

In today’s evolving job market, access to real‑world insight is invaluable. Our alumni network supports current pupils, recent leavers and mid‑career professionals by offering informal connections, tailored career guidance and mentoring. Many OCs generously give their time to help others explore industries, gain work experience and build confidence.

We maintain these relationships through a varied programme of events - from networking breakfasts and industry panels to reunions, regional gatherings and annual OC sports fixtures -designed to bring people together and add genuine value.

Many former pupils benefited from bursaries or funded opportunities during their time at Clifton. Through ongoing fundraising and capital projects, the OC Society helps ensure that talented young people can access a Clifton College education, regardless of their circumstances, continuing a tradition of giving back and supporting future generations.
