Old Cliftonians Shine in Top Level Rugby

Friday 10 October 2025

It was a standout weekend for Old Cliftonians in the Premiership and United Rugby Championship leagues.

Cardiff Rugby celebrated a memorable performance from Tom Bowen (WiH, 2024), who became the youngest player in the professional era to score a hat-trick for the club. Fellow OC and Wales international, Ioan Lloyd (SH, 2018) also featured appearing off the bench.

At Exeter Chiefs, Immanuel Feyi-Waboso (WiH, 2021) continued his exceptional run of form with a hat-trick of his own, underlying why he has become one of the most exciting talents in the English game.

Harry Taylor (MH, 2019) represented Gloucester Rugby, while Aidan Boschoff (WiH, 2024) and Sam Worsley (ST, 2022) both lined up for Bristol. Jac Lloyd (SH) was also announced to be starting for the Dragons against Glasgow Warriors in the URC this weekend. Exemplifying the power of our performance rugby programme.

Reflecting on the weekend’s success, Matt Salter, Director of Rugby said “It’s fantastic to see so many OCs performing at the highest level and also many more recent leavers beginning their senior rugby journey in the national leagues. These boys are contributing so significantly to their teams and it clearly shows the determination, skill and character, qualities that were evident during their time at Clifton. Their achievements are a source of pride for everyone connected with the College, and are a real inspiration for our current pupils.”

Many congratulations to all!
