Clifton College Celebrates a Vibrant and Joyful Spirit of Pride Parade

Clifton College was awash with colour, music and celebration as this year’s Spirit of Pride Parade brought the whole community together in a joyful display of unity and self‑expression.

The event began in the Quad with uplifting live music, setting the tone for an event full of energy and inclusivity. Pupils and staff then joined a lively procession around the Close, before each House gathered at the judging station to deliver their very own 'sound explosion' - a creative performance using homemade instruments crafted from everyday items found around their Houses.

We were also delighted to welcome students and staff from Clifton High School, whose presence added even more warmth and community spirit to the occasion.

After much enthusiasm and noise, West Town was crowned the winning House, recognised for their rhythmic unity, inclusivity, resourcefulness and overall spirit.

A message on behalf of The Pride Society:

“Thank you all for showing up and dressing for today to show your support.

Today should be a day where expression thrives without hesitation - a day where people are only themselves and not anyone else, and a day of celebration.

Everyone here will have a different definition of what pride means to them. However, the important thing is that we should all take care to support each other today, because just one act of kindness can travel far.”

The celebration concluded with a confetti cannon finale, filling the Close with colour and marking a joyful end to a truly memorable event!
