Last week, a group of our GCSE and A level Drama students went for a tour of the Bottle Yard Studios in South Bristol.
During the tour, the students were shown around big warehouses, transformed from the previous bottling plant into hanger size spaces for television sets to be made in painstaking detail.
They were also fortunate enough to be shown around one of the sound studios on site by the award-winning sound company Radium Audio. Here, the students were shown their ‘sound garden’, an array of items and instruments used to create the range of effects they create for film.
Overall, it was an interesting and exciting tour which really opened our student’s eyes to the range of opportunities available in the arts and media sector.
