A big congratulations to Sam Fatchen who has been given a very exciting offer of a place on an EDT 2019 Headstart course in Broad-Based Engineering at Exeter University.

Sam has done particularly well in bagging his place on this special course as, this year, the course has had an excessive amount of applicants with over 1,000 students not being lucky enough to be offered a place. Sam gladly accepted the offer and is excited to get his teeth stuck into it.

He said, "I first heard about the Headstart courses just six months ago from a family friend. I looked into it further and they were offering four-night residential courses at various universities around the country for different engineering courses. I applied to multiple courses and they matched me with the Broad-Based Engineering Course at Exeter University.

I’m looking forward to going because it will allow me to look at a wide variety of different engineering fields, so I can specialise more easily in the future, rather than only experiencing one at a time through work experience."

We wish Sam the very best with the course and can't wait to see how he gets on!
