Part Song and House Song competition

Part Song and House Song competition

Unnamed (4)A packed chapel saw the twelve houses vying closely for the coveted Part Song and Unison House singing trophies on Friday 19th October.

The adjudicator was Mrs Pat Forbes, who has worked as a singer with renowned groups including The Sixteen and The Monteverdi Choir. She commended everyone on the high standards, with entries for the a capella Part Song ranging from barbershop to contemporary R&B, and several pupils making their own complex arrangements in up to five parts.

Congratulations to all, but in particular to Worcester House, winning the Part Song with their arrangement on Empire State of Mind (Alicia Keys) and to Moberly's House, winning the Unison with their version of This is me (from The Greatest Showman).
