Clifton College Develops Leadership Programme for Pupils Across Bristol

Clifton College and Bedminster Down School organised a new programme aimed at nurturing and developing leadership skills for pupils across Bristol, in partnership with the University of Bristol.

The event was a great success and an opportunity for Year 8 pupils to explore what makes a good leader, with support from The Bristol Museum & Art Gallery and we the curious.

We aim to run a further series of training days in September to include strategic thinking, communication and planning.

John Milne, Director of External Relations at Clifton College, said: “We are delighted to be engaged with, and hosting, this programme. It is a great opportunity for the students who will be recording their views on what makes a good leader, reviewing some of the potential barriers to leadership and looking at why leaders are important in our lives.”

All students who complete the course will receive certification from the University of Bristol’s Education Department. The University will provide advice and research into best practice for student leadership throughout the programme.
