U16 Girls' Hockey Team Reach National Finals

Congratulations to the U16 Girls' Hockey team who have reached the National Finals in the Investec Schools Championships which will be played at the Olympic Park at the end of the month.

To reach the finals Clifton faced Sevenoaks in the playoffs, and played brilliantly, with Katie Partridge, who plays for England U16, scoring the winning goal to make it 3-2.

Louise Catchpole, Director of Hockey, said that they approached the game like true professionals.

She said: “It really was a team performance, the girls were amazing. I am so proud of their hard work. They were obviously delighted to win the game but they also recognised that their opponents also played very well.”

Their coach, Gary Catchpole, said that he is thrilled another U16 Clifton Hockey squad will be at the finals, with this being the 15th consecutive year.

We wish them the best of luck!Hockey
