The hotly-anticipated annual Band Night, held last Friday night, was a huge success as pupils, staff and family members rocked out to some of Clifton's best student bands.
Over the evening talented musicians took to the stage, of the Redgrave Theatre, to perform songs from a variety of different music genres ranging from rock and indie to pop and electronic. The audience thoroughly enjoyed the entertainment - at one point, the Wiseman’s band had them swaying with their mobile phone lights in the air!
Sixth Former Simi was a natural on stage as she entertained the audience like a professional. Her vocals were outstanding and her dance moves really stole the show. Music Scholar Moy, played beautifully on keys and sang vocals as his band closed the show with an atmospheric rendition of ‘Use Somebody’ by the Kings of Leon.
Each student performed incredibly well and the variety of different instruments and talents made for an exciting and enjoyable Friday night for all. Along with guitar, bass, drum and vocal acts there was a brilliant soul band as well as electronic and keyboard performances.
Dan Robson, Director of Music, said: “Band Night is a great chance for Clifton to let its hair down and have some fun. We all had a great night with fantastic music performed by our talented students.”
