Bristol Rugby Head Coach Surprises Clifton College Rugby Team

The U16 boys' sevens rugby squad, who were finalists in the Rosslyn Park National Schools Sevens Colts tournament received a surprise visit from Bristol Rugby Head Coach Pat Lam this morning. Pat congratulated the boys and coaches on their amazing achievement at the tournament, as well as sharing some very motivational advice for the future which had everyone in the Newbolt Room spellbound, not only the boys!

He presented the boys with some personalised cufflinks as a keepsake and official photographs from the tournament.

Director of Rugby, Matt Salter, said: "I'm really grateful to Pat for supporting us and for taking the time to come and acknowledge this fantastic Rugby achievement. It was lovely to be able to surprise the boys and to recognise the considerable effort they put in as a 12 man squad to reach the final two teams from the 160 schools who started the competition."

Team member, Harry Taylor, said: "It was a great experience to be congratulated by Bristol coach Pat Lam on our success at Rosslyn Park. It was amazing to have him show us how to manage success and achieve our goals further on in life. He was an inspiration to all of us boys."
