Clifton holds live electronic music event

The College held a Music Tech Live on Thursday. Students, parents and teachers were treated to live electronic music being performed by past and present students. There was a mass of electronic instruments, synthesizers, drum machines, laptops and controller keyboards all being played through a substantial sound system that delivered ground shaking bass.

OC Charles Vaughan came back from Goldsmiths in London to perform three of his current tracks which were received admirably by the very well attended crowd. Clifton's own Electro Workshop played their most recent tracks and the crowd were dancing by the end of the night. Other acts featured were PJ and Angus Clarke rapping over an original Hip Hop composition, Simi and Lewis performed a cover of I Remember by Deadmau5 and Harvey Coates performed a 'mash up' of tracks on his sample pad controller.

With technology becoming more accessible to everyone, many more Music Tech Live events are sure to follow.
