Following the implementation of the Action Plan by the school to address the findings of the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) visit in July 2015, we can now confirm following an implementation inspection in February 2016, that Clifton College meets the regulations and standards required.
In its report (click here to view), the ISI states that “the school has made excellent progress in establishing first-class procedures and practices and raising the awareness of all staff and pupils to the importance of safeguarding” and that “a culture of safeguarding is now embedded in the ethos of the school”.
Safeguarding remains the highest priority at the College. We continue to investigate in detail what lessons we can learn from the past and we will be publishing the findings of our independent review in due course.
