Clifton College entered a team this year for a three day racing event at Itchenor Sailing Club, on Chichester Harbour.
The event was the prestigious Itchenor National Schools' Week event. The top British Schools Dinghy Racing Association were represented, as well as elite sailors from The Ransom Everglades School, Florida.
The competition aims to achieve a mix of a high standard of sailing with good opportunities for sailors of all levels in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.
Over seventy boats raced in two classes and back to back races were held on Olympic courses. Clifton achieved a best finish of 15th and an overall position of 30th.
Mr Lewis, Master in Charge of Sailing, said: "This result was very encouraging given their age. It was their first experience on a course of this size and a startling line with this many boats.
"Our competitors learned a huge amount from living alongside and racing against other young sailors for a week.
"We hope to enter a larger team next year."
