History and Politics students visit the Houses of Parliament

Our Year 12 History and Politics students enjoyed a trip to London to visit the Houses of Parliament and take part in some educational workshops on the process of democracy.

They had a tour of the Palace of Westminster and sat in on a House of Commons debate in which Matt Hancock was explaining the government’s position on the current Coronavirus pandemic.

They also had a visit from Bristol West’s MP, Thangam Debonnaire, who explained with great passion the role of an MP. It was a fascinating and inspiring trip for all of the students.
