Clifton College stands on the strength of our community. From our founders to the present day, we have been supported by generous supporters to offer bursarial support, develop our site, and prepare our pupils to follow their passions.
Central to our development goals is that access to Clifton College should be there for the most able and talented pupils, no matter what their circumstances are. Our bursarial programme provides opportunities for young people to attain their full potential and be supported to attend.
Our school has always been shaped by the generosity and commitment of our community. Every gift we receive, whether by funding a bursary, supporting a new facility, or remembering the College in a will, will help us create transformative opportunities for our pupils. Thank you for being part of our story.
We believe talent and potential should never be limited by financial circumstances. Our bursary programme provides life-changing opportunities for pupils who would otherwise be unable to attend the College.
Whether you’re contributing to our general bursary fund or establishing a named award, your support directly helps pupils thrive — academically, socially, and personally — within the Clifton community.
How you can help:
Make a one-off donation to the bursary fund
Set up a regular gift to provide ongoing support
Create a named bursary in honour of a loved one or OC
Including Clifton College in your will is one of the most meaningful ways to make a lasting impact. Legacy gifts help us secure the future of the College, fund bursaries, and preserve the character and values that define a Clifton education.
All those who choose to leave a gift are invited to join the 1862 Club, which recognises and thanks our legacy supporters during their lifetime.
Why leave a legacy:
Support causes that matter to you — from widening access to sustaining excellence
Ensure future generations benefit from a Clifton education
Create a named legacy or remember a loved one through your gift
We can help you:
Understand the options available
Provide suggested wording for your will
Offer a confidential, no-obligation conversation
We pride ourselves on being the school every pupil needs us to be, and our building and facilities reflect that. From our historic Percival Library and cricket pavilion to the cutting-edge Chellaram Sports Complex, practically every facility we have has been made possible in some way thanks to the generosity of our community.
Capital gifts help us preserve the character of our estate while investing in the next generation of academic, co-curricular and pastoral life.

The Clifton College Development Trust exists to: Strengthen and elevate the School’s reputation and long-term success; Expand access to Clifton through increased Scholarships and Bursaries, supporting a more inclusive, needs-blind admissions programme for talented pupils from all backgrounds; Safeguard Clifton’s legacy as a distinguished institution for generations to come.
The Clifton College Endowment Fund is a registered charity, the trustees of which are the current members of the Old Cliftonian Executive Committee. This fund supports the College in several key ways, primarily by providing scholarships and bursaries, and by funding the purchase of specialist items.
The Polack's House Educational Trust was set up by alumni of Polack's House, our House for Jewish pupils. It awards bursarial support to pupils to be able to practice their faith and be part of the Jewish community whilst receiving their education.
We are deeply grateful for the incredible generosity of our donors. Their support provides us with the means to offer more opportunities for young people to achieve their best and pursue their passions. This donor recognition list is a tribute to the individuals, families, trusts and organisations whose contributions make it possible.
Thank you for being part of our legacy.
