Clifton College is one of the country’s leading public boarding and day schools. The College has more than 1300 pupils aged 3 to 18, two large commercial sports facilities, a commercial theatre and more than 500 staff, all based across two primary sites.

Cleaning Operative £6.70 per hour. Fixed Term Contract: 1st September 2014 to 28th February 2015

Part-time Cleaning Operative required to assist with the provision of a high quality cleaning service in our busy school. The role involves cleaning offices, toilet areas, sports facilities, classrooms, laboratories, corridors, shower rooms and stairways.

Monday to Friday 6am to 2pm
Saturdays 9am to 1pm

A moderate level of physical fitness is intrinsic to this role as you are required to carry and use cleaning equipment such as vacuums, mops and buckets, to manage stairway cleaning, and to transport bottles of chemical cleaning fluids safely.

Although cleaning experience would be an advantage, training will be provided and more important is the willingness to work hard and demonstrate reliability both when working alone or in a team.

Leisure Assistant
Part time, casual.  £7 per hour plus holiday pay.
Hours: Saturdays 9am – 6pm with some occasional Sundays and evening cover required.

Clifton College are recruiting a Leisure Assistant to be responsible for maintaining the sports centre and grounds, as well as providing support to centre staff on a shift pattern basis. The role is varied and will include moving sports equipment, bar work, reception duties and customer interaction. The role will include working indoors and outdoors.

This position would be ideal for a student looking to gain experience in the Leisure industry.

HR Advisor £25,000 – 30,000 p.a. plus benefits
Full time, Permanent

We are looking for an experienced generalist HR Advisor, who has worked in a complex organisation.  The successful candidate will provide comprehensive, pragmatic and accurate HR advice to managers and employees within the College, in line with current legislation and College policy and procedures.

You will have up-to-date good working knowledge of employment law, and have sound experience of working on various types of employee relations casework.  You will be able to work under pressure whilst remaining calm and professional at all times.  Having a ‘can do’ attitude and being a strong team player will be paramount to this role.

You will need to have gained your CIPD level 5 as a minimum, ideally level 7 (Masters/Post-Grad), with A Level English and Maths.

Domestic and Site Services Manager
Full time – shall not exceed 48 hours per week
Permanent, Salary: £35,000

We require an experienced manager to be responsible for the effective utilisation and presentation of the College’s facilities for the day-to-day running of the school and school related events, through effective management of the porter, security, cleaning and laundry teams.

You will need to have a good level of education – ideally of graduate calibre – or equivalent knowledge and experience, and have a good standard of IT literacy.  You must have people management/HR knowledge and experience plus a Facilities Management Qualification would be desirable.

Applicants should also have experience of managing operations, logistics, supplies and resources, and of leading and motivating teams.  You will be required to demonstrate strong organisational, planning and communication skills.
