Assistant Chaplain
For January 2015

We are seeking to appoint an Assistant Chaplain from January 2015 or as soon as possible thereafter. This post is an exciting opportunity to offer support to the Chaplain and lay colleagues in the College through spiritual and pastoral duties combined with part-time teaching of Religious Studies. Teacher of History, RE and Games
Clifton College Preparatory School, For January 2015
Fixed Term Contract until July 2015

We require an experienced Teacher of History and Religious Studies in our Preparatory School to teach Years 6, 7 and 8 and Games (ability to coach Netball or Cricket would be an advantage).

School Health Centre Nurse

RGN or RSCN, required to join a progressive Health Centre team, situated within this prestigious school.

Experience of A&E, practice nursing, paediatrics or minor injuries would be desirable, as would vaccination/phlebotomy skills or the willingness to undertake training in this.

This role requires the ability to work as part of a team as well as autonomously, and flexibility is essential.

Work Pattern - Term-time only (plus availability for up to 15 days outside of term if required), 35 hours per week, over 5 days 7.30 am to 3.00 pm or 11.00 am to 6.30 pm plus 3 ‘on call’ a fortnight. Actual salary: £19,177 for 35 hours per week.

Box Office Manager
£18,000 per annum - Temporary Fixed Term Contract

Clifton College’s Redgrave theatre is one of the most popular theatres in Bristol – as well as hosting all of the College’s own productions we cater to a wide variety of professional, community and touring productions.

Due to the theatre’s increasing popularity we are now looking to recruit a Box Office Manager. The role will initially be for three months only in order to investigate the options available for creating a permanent theatre box office. This research will inform the decision as to whether a permanent box office will be adopted. If the box office is approved the role of manager will become a full time position.

Previous experience in Box Office management including experience in managing a small team is vital for this role.

Birthday Party Host
£7.00-7.50 per hour dependent on skills and experience

Clifton College Sports Centre is looking for an experienced Birthday Party host to help deliver a range of birthday parties for children. The successful applicant will need to have previous experience of delivering similar events and a varied skill set linked to working with children and young people. Sports coaching, playwork and first aid qualifications desirable.

Cleaning Operative
£6.78 per hour, Temporary Fixed Term Contract

Cleaning Operative required to assist with the provision of a high quality cleaning service in our busy school. The role involves cleaning offices, toilet areas, sports facilities, classrooms, laboratories, corridors, shower rooms and stairways.

Monday to Tuesday  6:00am-2:00pm
Wednesday to Friday  6:00am-1:30pm
Saturday 9:00am-1:00pm

40 hours per week

A moderate level of physical fitness is intrinsic to this role as you are required to carry and use cleaning equipment such as vacuums, mops and buckets, to manage stairway cleaning, and to transport bottles of chemical cleaning fluids safely.

Although cleaning experience would be an advantage, training will be provided and more important is the willingness to work hard and demonstrate reliability both when working alone or in a team.

School Shop Sales Assistant
£7 per hour - Full time, fixed term

The School Shop (the Grubber) is a facility within the College which supplies uniform, stationary, toiletries and confectionary to pupils and Staff within the two schools which form the College. We are initially looking for temporary, full time cover for approximately 4 months.

You will normally work an average of 41.25 hours per week over 5 days out of 6, Monday to Saturday. Shifts will be worked in accordance with the department rota, normally between the hours of 8.00am - 5.00pm, Monday to Friday with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break and 8.00am – 2.00pm Saturday. The exact hours worked each week will vary due to the variation in the shop’s opening times between term-time and non term-time.
